The pork belly that came out really soft, flaking with the fork, and full of delicious Asian flavours.

TIPS FOR THIS RECIPE

Rice wine can be replaced with Shaoxing Wine, Rice wine is somewhat clear and sweet and is made from fermented glutinous rice, where the sugars are transformed into alcohol by yeast.

The difference between dark and light Soy Sauce
– Light soy sauce is thin in viscosity. It’s salty and delightful and essential to Chinese cooking. It’s used for seasoning as well as for dipping.
– Dark soy sauce is thicker, darker, and slightly less salty.

Swap the Cinnamon, Cloves and Star Anise with 1 tablespoon of mixed spice.
