The filtering function is essential for the good health of the whole organism
The kidneys, two in number, are in the rear part of the abdomen at the level of the last two ribs, on each side of the spine. The right kidney, located under the liver, is slightly lower than the left, which is located under the spleen.
They regulate the amount of water in our system
Kidneys remove waste products and toxins by filtering blood and lymph
They also produce hormones that help regulate blood pressure
The two kidneys filter about 120 l of blood a day, producing 1 to 2 liters of urine, consisting of waste and excess fluid.
When the kidneys are overloaded, signs may appear
Frequent urination, especially at night, bad taste in the mouth, loss of appetite, nausea, shortness of breath, persistent itching, night cramps, swelling of the eyelids
It therefore becomes important to detoxify your kidneys several times a year
